It's true that there are a lot of similarities (Kurama/Kurapika, Hiei/Killua, Leorio/Kuwabara, Gon/Yusuke (last of which is the least convincing), Chrollo/Teen Koenma (visually), etc.) but the two are still entirely different works. Togashi-sama couldn't repeat himself if he tried.
I always find it amusing to mix the two together. It's awesome to think what would happen if the two gangs met up. My life would be complete if Togashi-sama did like a crossover oneshot. We should write a petition! Who's with me??
